What would you like to know about me?

What I would like to tell you is that, I am different. I see my job as your real estate advocate whether I am representing you as a seller or as a buyer. I will not compromise my principles or your safety to make a commission.

I will not take over-priced listings, and I will not  make low-ball offers.

My job is to make your transaction a joyful one. When you finally get the keys to your new home, or you finally receive the wire to your bank of the proceeds of your sale, I ensure that you are happy and ready to start a new chapter in your life with anticipation and optimism.

The Mexican real estate process is time-consuming, expensive, and just plain irritating for foreigners. You will be frustrated during the closing. That’s when I work hard to be your shield and not let the endless irritations get to you.

The reason I can do this is that not only do I have over 20 years of real estate and mortgage experience in the California market, I have also been selling real estate here since 2001. Since 2005, I worked for ConfiCasa Mortgage the premier cross-border mortgage company. I held many positions in management that took me to every major resort in Mexico. Finally, I was the director of closings, and I had to deal with every facet of the real estate transaction. A lot of my time in closing was fixing problems of the seller, even though my client was the buyer/borrower, but in order to affect a smooth closing, I had to fix the problems of the seller.

So my job is to ensure that you as a seller and you as a buyer are fully informed, totally comfortable, and are protected from making any serious mistakes.

Here in Mexico I have done, and am doing the following:

  1. Opened the first real estate franchise in La Paz (as sales manager) Coldwell Banker Riveras
  2. Originated mortgages form La Paz for clients in California
  3. Director of Closings for ConfiCasa Mortgage International
  4. Written articles for:
    • International Living
    • Mexico Insider
    • Baja Pulse
    • Gringo Gazette
    • Baja Traveler
  5. Written an ebook for consumers: Margarita Mind: How to Avoid It, A Guide to Buying Mexico Real Estate Safely & Sanely

In my life in Silicon Valley I did this:

  • Held  local and state level office for my professional organization
  • Conducted First-Time HomeBuyer classes
  • Wrote consumer advocacy columns for San Jose Metro
  • Founding member of  the San Jose Mercury News “Virtual Real Estate Advisory”
  • Wrote and appeared in my own  real estate segments on BAY/TV
  • Held a California Real Estate Broker license
  • Have a B.S. from the University of San Francisco

The most important thing about me is that I approach real estate as an advocate for you, whether you are a buyer or a seller.
